Boomers – think you’re inheriting money from your parents?

Some Baby Boomers are disappointed because they aren’t going to inherit money from their parent’s estates. As a well-known psychologist says, “Get real”. Any money that you don’t make on your own usually comes with strings – something is usually expected of you. Eventually, you will have to pay, whether it’s financially or psychologically. Our parents are living longer, we are living longer and some of our own adult children are still looking to us for financial help. One of the lessons from this and from the current economy is for all of us to be responsibile for our own health and well-being – mentally, physically and financially. Do this, then if by chance you do inherit something from your parents, then it will be “icing on the cake”. Better to be informed and secure in your own path, then be pleasantly surprised.
